Christine Chavez has over 20 years of experience as a certified Speech-Language Pathologist. While obtaining her Master’s degree at OLLU, she had the opportunity to acquire the academic knowledge and clinical skills needed to provide bilingual (English/Spanish) assessment and intervention.
Christine began her career as a bilingual SLP with the Plano Independent School District. She worked primarily with bilingual (Spanish/English) preschool children during her time with the district and received experience not only as a bilingual SLP but also in using a play-based approach to intervention for young children.
Christine believes that therapy should be fun and functional! She also believes families can be empowered with the right tools to improve their quality of life.
Christine is married with two teens and a dog. During her spare time, Christine and her family enjoy exploring the natural beauty of Central Oregon and have become avid hikers since moving to the area a few years ago.
Areas of Specialty
Christine possesses extensive experience working with clients with a variety of disabilities and ages.
After ten years of working with Sally Bober and Associates located in Plano, TX, Christine found her specialty in pediatric feeding disorders and was fortunate to be mentored by Sally Bober, a leading SLP/feeding therapist in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.
