Marit is an occupational therapist originally from Bellevue, WA, and has been working as an occupational therapist since 2020 after receiving her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. She has experience working with the pediatric population in Bend within the schools and outpatient settings. Before becoming an occupational therapist, Marit worked as a behavior therapist implementing applied behavior analysis with her pediatric clients in San Diego, CA.

Marit enjoys time spent with her husband and their new daughter, cuddling their two cats, and hiking with their dog.

Areas of Specialty

Marit’s special interest populations include autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, motor planning, and praxis differences, fine and gross motor delays, and emotional regulation differences.

Marit is certified in the Developmental, Individual Difference, Relationship-based Model (DIR), and Foundational Capacities for Development (FCD). She has completed training in the Unyte Focus System and Integrated Listening Systems, Handwriting Without Tears, the Zones of Regulation, and the STAR Institute for Sensory Processing, Regulation, and Relationship. Marit has attended a hands-on sensorimotor workshop with The King of Swings to better understand and support her clients with sensory processing differences.
