Ellie is a Speech Language Pathologist originally from Boston, Massachussts. Her passion for facilitating communication began during her time as a Special Education Teacher at a non-public school serving children with complex communication needs. She earned her Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of California, East Bay. She is committed to working with children and their families to foster language development via child-led, play-based therapy. She believes that positive therapeutic outcomes rely on a foundation of trust, and prioritizes relationship building with the children she supports. 

In her free time, you can find Ellie gardening or spending time outdoors with her fiancé and dog. She enjoys all of the hiking, skiing, and river floating that Bend has to offer! 

Areas of Specialty

Ellie has experience working with children and young adults in the areas of communication, executive functioning, speech sound disorders, and apraxia. Ellie is passionate about working with autistic clients and providing neurodiversity-affirming therapy in order to encourage strengths and empower her clients. She participated in a grant during graduate school which provided additional coursework and service learning about supporting autistic children and their families. She is SCERTS certified and has completed continuing education in the areas of gestalt language processing and neurodiversity-affirming assessment and goal writing.
